About the owner
Hello, I have lived in CA my whole life I grew up backpacking, fishing, felling trees to make furniture and spending as much time outside as possible. My love for the outdoors turned into a BS Biology chasing the dream of working outside chasing wildlife, followed by a Job in forestry where I spent many hours after work fishing and hunting. Exploring the backroads and national forest roads I came up with Rutbags in order to save hours of hiking every day.
I Spent 3 years working forestry throughout CA.
I worked both the Carr and campfire fires doing vegetation cleanup.
every fall and winter I spend as much time as possible chasing wildlife and getting into tricky places.
Vision
I hope to be able to expand rutbag to create and offer more lightweight offroad gear made in the USA.
I am often thinking about ways to get places that my truck won't go and get further out into the woods.
